Diversity and Inclusion

Diversity and Inclusion in the flexible pavement industry

Australian Flexible Pavement Association (AfPA) recognises the positive benefits an inclusive workforce plays on all aspects of our lives – attracting the best talent drives innovation, productivity and best practice outcomes. AfPA seeks to develop strategies tailored to the industry’s unique culture and workforce with a focus on empowering and encouraging diversity, including fostering emerging talent, women, people from indigenous communities, refugees and migrants, and all minorities.

AfPA’s Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion

The AfPA is strongly committed to gender equity and diversity, working across the flexible pavement industry to address the barriers and challenges to successfully attract, recruit and retain a broad workforce.

The AfPA National Diversity and Inclusion Committee has been formed to address the long-standing lack of diversity across our industry and encourage systemic workplace practices, leadership, professional development and culture to prioritise inclusion
