Episode: Crumb Rubber Dense Graded Asphalt – Complimentary Access | Register
AfPA Live delivers a technical webinar on Crumb Rubber Modified Dense Graded Asphalt, advancing industry knowledge and supporting consistent practice across the sector.
This session presents AfPA’s new dense graded asphalt specification using crumb rubber modified bitumen for surfacing low to medium trafficked roads. The specification supports local Councils in procuring a more sustainable asphalt wearing course, improving the performance properties of conventional asphalt. Enhanced material performance extends in-service life and delivers lower lifecycle costs for asset owners. Mitcham Council will present operational evidence on the performance and application of this product on local road networks since 2018.
Episode: Best Practices for Bitumen Emulsion Primers – View Episode
This session built on last year’s popular series that addressed the reduction of cutters in spray sealing. It highlighted bitumen emulsion primers as a safer and more sustainable alternative to traditional cutback bitumen for priming granular bases.
In this webinar, experts shared insights on the production and application of locally manufactured bitumen emulsion primers across the Australian network. The discussion covered the numerous benefits of using these primers over cutback bitumen, including improved safety, environmental sustainability, and enhanced performance. Participants received a series of technical presentations and practical insights.
