Award Categories and Criteria
The judging criteria provided below are the exact standards that will be used to evaluate each nomination. To maximise the chances of success, nominees should provide clear and structured responses, supported by evidence and measurable outcomes.

2026 Safety Initiative Award
This award acknowledges individuals or organizations that have made significant contributions to improving safety in the Flexible Pavement Industry.
Criteria:
- Engagement with Industry and Stakeholders: Demonstrates efforts to encourage uptake and adoption of the safety solution across the broader industry.
- Leadership in Safety Initiatives: Demonstrates leadership in identifying, developing, and delivering new safety initiatives.
- Commitment to Sustainable Safety Initiatives: Demonstrates dedication to the ongoing dissemination and delivery of sustainable safety initiatives across the industry.
- Overall Safety Improvement: Demonstrates measurable improvements in the safety environment as a result of the initiative.

2026 Emerging Leader Award (Male and Female)
This award seeks to recognise individuals who, despite being in the early stages of their career, have demonstrated exemplary leadership qualities and contributed significantly to their organisation’s success.
Criteria:
Nominally, Individuals under the age of 35 and with less than 10 years’ experience within the Flexible Pavements Industry.
- Industry-wide Leadership and Contribution: Illustrates how the nominee has displayed outstanding leadership and made noteworthy contributions to the Flexible Pavement Industry and the association, going above and beyond their regular responsibilities.
- Organisational Leadership Impact: Details how the nominee has exhibited leadership within their organisation, emphasising instances where their influence has contributed to positive outcomes and advancements.
- Operational Improvements through Initiative: Highlights how the nominee has proactively initiated and implemented improvements in operations, showcasing instances where their self-directed actions have led to positive changes.
- Notable Outcomes for Organisation and Industry: Provides concrete evidence and examples of the nominee’s notable outcomes achieved within their organisation and the industry, emphasising the lasting impact of their contributions.
- Engagement with Industry Stakeholders: Describes how the nominee actively interacts and collaborates with other industry stakeholders and the Association, showcasing their commitment to fostering positive relationships and participating in the broader industry community.

2026 Flexible Pavement Field Worker Award (Male and Female)
This award honours individuals who have demonstrated exceptional on-site performance while showing a commitment to safety, customer satisfaction, and leadership. The following criteria will guide the evaluation:

- Quality Production and Service Delivery: Highlights examples of the nominee’s exceptional work that have contributed to high-quality outcomes.
- Commitment to Safety: Showcases the nominee’s consistent dedication to safety in all activities.
- Customer Service Excellence: Illustrates the nominee’s commitment to achieving positive customer service outcomes
- Positive Role Modelling and Leadership: Describes how the nominee has acted as a positive role model, demonstrating leadership by providing guidance and support to peers and the team

2026 Graduate / Cadet Award (Male and Female)
This award aims to celebrate the achievements of graduates &/or cadets who have made noteworthy contributions early in their careers, reflecting a combination of academic excellence, practical skills, initiative and a commitment to professional growth. The following criteria will guide the evaluation:
Criteria:
Nominally, individuals with less than 3 years’ experience within the Flexible Pavements Industry
- Leadership Skills: Demonstrates leadership potential within their organisation and the industry.
- Proactive Initiative: Takes actions for positive outcomes beyond their regular role, benefiting both the organisation and the industry.
- Industry Engagement: Actively participates and contributes to the Association, demonstrating a commitment to broader industry involvement.

How to Submit a Nomination
To submit a nomination, complete the online form for the relevant category. Ensure all fields are completed and include supporting documents, such as high-resolution photos, videos, and referee endorsements where applicable.
